Job Description:

Summary of Responsibilities

Provide technical development skills for the Data Archive/Data Warehouse Group. Key responsibilities cover all tiers of the Enterprise Data Warehouse infrastructure including but not limited to design and development of database models, database replication, integration, web-enabled applications, data extraction and delivery methods, reporting foundations, and data presentation.

Essential Job Functions

• Develop applications within existing architecture and under the guidelines of overall technical goals of the data warehousing team
• Develop application components in support of data warehousing efforts using Oracle technology
• Interface with key groups in the company to ensure quality product delivery (example, project managers, application and technical architects, usability engineers, other development groups, business end users, and external users as appropriate)
• Possess technical proficiency in the following key technical areas: Oracle 9i or 10g, PL/SQL expert, PL/SQL and SQL Tuning, Oracle Development Toolsets (TOAD, PL/SQL Developer, etc.), Multithreading Techniques, Parallel Query, and Oracle Stored Java, Oracle Database Application Development.
• Additional proficiencies in the following technical areas are a plus: Java (J2EE), Struts, SOAP, JSP, JMS, SAX, XML, XSL, XSLT, XHTML, Application Server

s, and Apache.

Experience and Educational Requirements

• B.S. in Computer Science or related field. MS in Computer Science preferred. An equivalent combination of related education, training and experience may be considered.
• Minimum 5-7 years of a strong basic technical background based in Information Technology (IT) organizations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Energy Industry Experience preferred.

• Real Time Operational Data Storage or Data Warehousing
