| Hello I downloaded IBM Migration toolkit 1.4 to convert data from oracle8i to db2 ver 7.1. When I went thru quick wizard & came to "connect to database" window, there is text field in which ODBC name or service name is to be given, I tried all possible means even then "can't get oracle connection" messg is display. What sort of string is to be passed in that text field. I have passed this format : jdbc racle:thin:@10.12.115.141:1712:XYZWhat's wrong. If it doesn't support db2 ver 7.1 then which toolkit supports? Looking forward for an early reply. Thanks & Regards Paresh Shah |

How's that supposed to work? > What's wrong. > > If it doesn't support db2 ver 7.1 then which toolkit supports? Have you tried it with DB2 V8? After all, V7 is out of service for more than a your (and V7.1 even longer). -- Knut Stolze DB2 Information Integration Development IBM Germany |

I don't know when the migration toolkit was initially released and if it ever did support DB2 V7. You might want to send an email to the address given here: http://tinyurl.com/baax4 But nevertheless, I would recommend that you do not use software that isn't supported any longer. Can't you move to DB2 V8? -- Knut Stolze DB2 Information Integration Development IBM Germany |
