Error while applying fixpak

This is a discussion on Error while applying fixpak within the db2-udb forums in Other Databases category; Hi, I have installed DB2 V8 with FP 9.Now i need to upgrade it to fixpak 13. But when i run the installFixpak command ,its giving error like DB2 version 8 is not installed .....But i checked the db2level...its DB2 V8 with Fixpak 9. It was up and running...and now we need it to upgrade it to fixpak 13. can anybody please suggest what could be the problem. Thanks in advance...

Default Error while applying fixpak

Hi,



I have installed DB2 V8 with FP 9.Now i need to upgrade it to fixpak 13. But when i run the installFixpak command ,its giving error like DB2 version 8 is not installed .....But i checked the db2level...its DB2 V8 with Fixpak 9. It was up and running...and now we need it to upgrade it to fixpak 13. can anybody please suggest what could be the problem.

did you update the instance (db2iupdt) ?

Did you install a fully-licensed base version of DB2 V8 to begin with?
What is the exact error msg that you receive?
