JDBC Performance for FM SA 9

Has anyone had performance problems?

It takes me 4 seconds to connect and 5 to execute a simple query.

Any ideas?

That seems very high. I unfortunately don't have any experience with
the JDBC support, but I have used the ODBC support in projects and
have found the performance, on simple queries at least, to be quite
acceptable. (sub-second)

And I would expect the JDBC support to be in the same ballpark.
