| Ok, To keep the discussions moving forward, lets talk about a general topic. Missed opportunities. We all know about them. We have all experienced them. Things in life where had we been awake at the wheel, we could have closeda group. The purpose of this discussion isn't to cry over spilled milk, or to lament what could have been. It is to say hey, where did we go wrong and how to avoid the mistakes in the future. I wish I could remember Terry's last name. He was a big bloke, worked with John Pickford out of the UK. Now he was a bit of a visionary. His departure was a missed opportunity. When IBM and NAG couldn't come to terms, a gap was created within the datablade product line. With Janet's focus on DB2 everywhere and IDS kept alive so she would honor her obligation, Financial Blade Package was pretty much shelved. We know what went wrong there. And of the 3 people who've worked with Financial Foundation, only1 is still quasi in the field. (We're only talking about IBMers Paul.... ;-) So how do we move forward? While this question is meant for the public, its really a wakeup call to Jerry K, Alyse P, et al. Remember I mentioned SIAC? Now that was a missed opportunity. So lets see what constructive comments Splitard can make or is his only purpose in life to lament about his small pecker and cry about my posts. ;-) But hey! What do I know? Its not like I was there or anything... no wait. I was. ;-) -G __________________________________________________ _______________ See what people are saying about Windows Live.
