| Bingo! Yes Terry Ralph. Ah that brings back some memories. I first met him out at Oakland for a meeting. Very smart guy, except of course in getting you that gig. (The couple complained that you made obscene balloon toys for their tots, and wreaked of alcohol.) :-P -G > Date: Wed, 27 Aug 2008 14:56:19 +0100 > From: obnoxio-at-serendipita.com > To: informix-list-at-iiug.org > Subject: Re: SIS: Keeping it simple, focus on missed opportunities... > > Ian Michael Gumby wrote: > > I wish I could remember Terry's last name. Who's the clown who tried to mark this thread as "SPAM"? IBM? Oh well if you look at its history you'll find that it at times had been both. I seem to recall IBM having to print a full page ad apologizing for something they did.... ;-) But the point of this thread was Terry Ralph. You know, the guy you remember? ;-) He did some things while at Informix that had Informix not been acquired, could have lead to some very promising results. What I've been suggesting/preaching, Terry had also been suggesting. |
