Naw its just funny because it shows that in some ways, Informix's
marketing message was 10 years ahead of their times. :-) Or that IBM
is lame enough to borrow upon a failed marketing attempt by equating
data with intelligence. There is no "smurt" data. Just smurt people
who can interpret the data, or know what data to create so that they
can track the data.

And it goes to something else....

IDS is the database with the best extensibility ability. Who knows
anything about DB2 Extenders or Oracle's "Data Cartridges" ? Nada.
DataBlades? More information is available in the public and more
companies take advantage of the datablades than the competition.

So if Sam wants "Smurt Data", then he should be also pushing IDS.

But we all know that it will never happen. ;-)
