| Hi Ajay, In point 1. you say the numpad keys are NOT mapped but they are mapped in PuTTy. Which emulator are you using that does not work? Most emulators have an option for the vt100 function keys which you need to turn on. If you are using the standard windows cmd screen then you need to stick to using TERM_INGRES=IBMPC. The keys then map to the normal PC keyboard function keys. On a Laptop you can still use vt100f with PuTTy without any special mappings. The numeric key pad is accessed using the Fn key and the corresponding alphanumeric key. These keys usually have the key pad number on the key in the same color as the Fn key which is usually M=0 J=1 K=2 L=3 U=4 I=5 O=6 7=7 8=8 9=9 The F2-F4 keys that are also used in vt100 will map to the PC keyboard F2-F4 keys. Make sure you in the settings you have set vt100+ on in Keyboard -> 'The function keys and keypad' HTH Peter Gale Comprehensive Solutions (US) Comprehensive Solutions International (UK) T: +44 (0)1398 341777 M: +44 (0)7831 513181 PGale-at-Comp-Soln.co.uk www.Comp-Soln.co.uk -----Original Message----- From: info-ingres-admin-at-cariboulake.com [mailto:info-ingres-admin-at-cariboulake.com] On Behalf Of Ajay Sent: 05 August 2005 01:37 To: info-ingres-at-cariboulake.com Subject: [Info-ingres] Problems while using ingres form based commands I am facing problems while using ingres form based commands. I have tried following things. 1. I have set "TERM_INGRES" to "vt100f". But the problem in this case is numpad keys are not mapped, so I am not been able to use corresponding options requiring numpad keys. But when I am accessing the serever on which ingres database resides from "putty", it works fine. 2. I have set "TERM_INGRES" to "vt220" and "TERM" to "xterm" In this case, it is not finding any key mappings such as F13 to F20 Keys. So beacuse of this I am not been able to use those command options. Another problem is since Laptop does not have the numpad, i will have to map all the respective key options corresponding to numpad to left side keys on the keyboad. Since it is not getting respective key mappings, so I request if any one is having solution on this, please do let me know.
