Hi all,

We're thinking about porting a quite complex ABF application to GUI.

I know ther was a CA tool called TransForge for moving ABF app to OpenRoad.

Is it supported by the Ingres Corporation ? Is there similar tool for other
GUI platforms (for example Java) ?

Hi Piotr:

Yes, Ingres Corp continues to enhance and support Transforge. I am on
record here over many years as a Transforge sceptic but Neil Warnock did
a presentation on it at the UK IUA 2008 Conference that persuaded me
that it might have matured to the point where I would consider using it.

Luminary will do a demo migration of parts of an ABF application for
free, so it's easy enough to see what you would get. The finished
result certainly has fantastic showroom appeal.

I don't know of any ABF to Java conversion tool.
