This kinda-sorta makes sense, given that the current data compression only deals with trailing blanks. The assumption would be that only the last LOB segment is likely to be compressible, and unless LOB's are generally short, that is not a significant percentage of the whole. With a better compression method it might make more sense to allow etab compression too. Karl |
