| Hi I installed a Domino server 7.0.2 and a Lotus Client 6.5.1 on tow machines in a windows domain. Both with 'default' options. Now if the Domino server is offline, i can't open the mail folder, because i don't seem to have a local copy of the mail. I guess i must create a replica in order to get offline copies of my mail. How can I do this? Thanks for any help, Alex |

Also wer traut sich? |

I created this replica, which was easy, and a new nsf-file was created and all docs got replicated. However i still cannot open my mail-view if the domino-server is offline, lotus still searches for the database on the server, complaining "remote system is down" or sth of that kind. I would like to view mails in offline-mode too, and switch to the local replica as default-mail-database. How can i do that? I couldn't find an option in the replication-config. Thanks for your help once again. MfG, Alex |

You need to switch the environment, within the logon dialog or in the selection box (on the right site of the lower part of the screen). In German switch from "Büroumgebung" to "Insel". After that open your mailfile. Another way is to open via bookmarks page or CTRL+O select server local ...
