Ideally what I'd advise is to build a new Linux server with Domino 8
with a temporary server ID and network settings. Then copy over the
NSF files from the old server. Once it's working ok, turn off the old
one, break down the new server and setup with the old server's name
and network settings.

If you don't have a second server, make sure you backup the Notes data
directory, notes.ini and server.id. Wipe the server, install Linux,
install Domino, then use your backed up files to complete the setup.
