how to grant one ID-a's authorization to ID-b

Hi all,

Now we met a problem:

Persons changed position, our organization will ask user to change new
ID to replace old one.
so users need to retrieve all mails from old ID to new ID, how to
process it?

1. is granted new ID to old ID?
2. or other ways?

Anyone have ideas pls help me out, TIA

Why changing ID? You just move the person from one group to another (you
have all your access setup by groups, right?). That way the user keep
their mail file, his/her ID file and everything, just get access to the
new databases and lose access to the old one.
