| Lord but it's been years since I've posted. Last time was in 2001. That was the last time I had to use Lotus Notes! The thing that I've found is that the mailto syntax doesn't work with Lotus Notes for generating new memos with pre-populated fields. I never knew but now suspect that it must be a Microsoft thing. For example, just like a URL, a mailto bit of text such as mailto:emailaddress-at-domain.com will generated a compose window with the email address already filled in. There are complexities to mailto that one can take advantage of if one knows the code. I have many links such as this that give me messages with pre-defined info already in them which saves from lugging around templates everywhere. Was hoping someone could advise me what the equivalent for LN is since my mailto's this week started a not-as-yet installed MS Outlook which isn't supported at my current job. Thanks. ![]() |

You have to install the Notes client as default mail program, then the mailto will work. At the moment Outlook is the default mail client. I think you can change that in the Internet settings of Windows. |

Will have to see if there is a setting somewhere in LotusNotes that allows me to tick it so that LN is the default. I know where to do that in Outlook, of course, but new again to LN. Thanks! D |
