| Hi, we want to upgrade to Notes 8, but our antivirus vendor, Symantec, does not support Domino 8. What are you folks using? Thanks. |

| Another advantage of using a third party scanning service is that you don't have to run AV on your domino server. In my experience anti-virus software for Domino has a serious impact on server performance and stability. (most recently McAfee on R7.0.2 (Windows 2003) where two servers in a cluster would fall over daily after mcafee updates). And also make sure if you do run OS level anti-virus software, make sure you exclude the domino server's data, transaction log and view rebuild directories or your domino server will slow down to a crawl.
