| Will the latest Access 2007 runtime run a database that has been written using A2007 SP1 without having to install the SP on the target machine? I know that the original A2007 runtime needed to have the SP installed in order to run a database that had been written using A2007 SP1. Hence the question. |

| Office 2007 sp1 won't install on the latest Access 2007 runtime, so you don't get a choice. Please let us know if your Access 2007 sp1 developed Database runs with the runtime version. I suspect it does, but I haven't tried it. | I seemed to have a problem running A2007 SP1 while having the runtime installed. It gives me a 2711 error. I unistalled Runtime and still error. It happened when i ran Access 2003 SP3. Yesterday i was switching between the apps and no problems. Today, boom. I will reinstall A2007, I heard that will remove the 2711 problem. -GL On Aug 26, 3:16*pm, "Chris O'C via AccessMonster.com" wrote: > Office2007sp1 won't install on the latest Access2007runtime, so you don't > get a choice. > > Please let us know if your Access2007sp1 developed Database runs with theruntime > version. *I suspect it does, but I haven't tried it. > > Chris > Microsoft MVP > > Wayne wrote: > >Will the latest Access2007runtimerun a database that has been > >written using A2007 SP1 without having to install the SP on the target > >machine? > > >I know that the original A2007runtimeneeded to have the SP installed > >in order to run a database that had been written using A2007 SP1. > >Hence the question. > > -- > Message posted via AccessMonster.comhttp://www.accessmonster.com/Uwe/Forums.aspx/databases-ms-access/2008... |

| I wouldn't install the Access 2007 runtime on the same system where Access 2007 retail is already installed because it might cause conflicts. I'd either install it on another pc or install it on a session of virtual pc to keep them separate. Normally you'd use the windows installer cleanup utility to clean up the registry after uninstalling office, but that shouldn't be used with office 2007 products. You may have to revert to a previous restore point to get your pc working again.
