control file errorThis is a discussion on control file error within the Oracle forums in Oracle Database category; Here is my scenario I was trying to apply a pacthset and DBUA had some errors so i had to rollback the patchset software. when i followed the metalink manual for downgrade i got following error startup downgrade ORACLE instance started. Total System Global Area 1644167168 bytes Fixed Size 2030552 bytes Variable Size 1543504936 bytes Database Buffers 83886080 bytes Redo Buffers 14745600 bytes ORA-00205: error in identifying control file, check alert log for more info i tried to use the mirror control files and the database didnot come up i tried reate controlfile reuse database crgtigt noresetlogs archivelog ORA-... | ||||||||
