| Hi all I recently updated my DB2 Enterprise Server from fixpak 3 to fixpak 4. Everything seemed to go smoothly, but a few hours after the update, I realised that I had lost the ability to connect to our remote DB2 servers through the wrapper. I'm getting the following error when trying to open all my Nicknames: [IBM][CLI Driver][DB2/NT] SQL30080N A communication error "DRDA wrapper: 30081" occurred sending or receiving data from the remote database. SQLSTATE=08001 The local server is a Windows server (DB2/UDB 9.1) and I'm connecting to DB2/ZOS 8 and DB2/UDB 8.2 servers. I hope you can shed some light on this ![]() Thanks Jimmi |

| Figured it out myself, never let anyone near your server, especially not if they're gonna mess with the firewall settings :-/ |

| I am having the exact same problem. Can you specify what it was that you did to correct it? Thank you. |

I have Symantec Firewall installed on my server and I found out I had to remove all previous approved rules to a specific DB2 file, can't remember the name right now (server's at work), but if you look through your rules you should be able to figure it out. just remove it and reapprove the file. I'll post again tomorrow with the filename just in case ![]() |
