| Is there a bug in P9 in which you can't set the dialog (file open, etc.) to take on a preferred "view"? I'd like my file open to show me the standard XP "Details" setting instead of the "List" setting so that I can scroll up and down (not across) and see the dates of the files I'm searching thru. I can alter it usually once open, but it doesn't stay that way. If not a bug, can you help me set it permanently? |

| Jim I'm not aware of any such settings in Paradox. -- Bertil Isberg - CTECH Paradox buglist: online: http://hem.bredband.net/bertilisberg/ "Jim Giner" news:48a424fa$1-at-pnews.thedbcommunity.com... > Is there a bug in P9 in which you can't set the dialog (file open, etc.) > to take on a preferred "view"? | I know there's nothing in the options to make it so, I just thought that somebody might know a registry setting or someway to alter the std. view. Funny that they would have the choice in the dialogs, but not give you a way of making it your default choice. oh, well ![]() |

| Jim, just to be sure we're speaking about the same situation: In the project-viewer I click right on e.g. forms and choose open in the context menu. As Tony said, it depends on the OS what happens because Paradox uses the OS routines. I tested it just with Vista - I'm not a friend of - and there the chosen mode is kept. If I choose the detailed view it is still there after reopening Pdox. | I didnt' realize that it was an OS issue. I'm in p9 so I thought it was p9 handling my clicking of the 'view' icon in a p9 dialog box. Egbert seems to have answered my question in that it works with Vista but apparently not with XP, which is what I'm running under. oh,well.... |
