| Hi, I have tried installing the latest version of the Sierra Bravo Dashboard for Windows but have hit a problem on the install. The guys at Sierra Bravo have tried to help but no no avail and now say they would need to charge an hourly fee in an attempt to diagnose the problem. Basically, I have gone through the install, sent all the logs and setup files to Sierra Bravo and all look fine but I get the following when I try and connect. This is using a Unidata database - anyone any ideas? Appserver has encountered a fatal runtime error Module execution failed! Thanks |

| Sounds like some specific error coming from their proprietary code. I haven't seen their communications but whatever they're using I suggest you emulate it for testing. In other words, if they are using UniObjects.NET to get from a middle-tier to the DBMS, then get a small bit of UO.NET code and test it between those same servers. If you can't make that work then it's no surprise that their code won't work. Usually an error like this has to do with permissions of the process that is attempting communications - not necessarily the user running the test. It could be anti-malware software or a firewall preventing a socket from being opened. It could also be a difference in the release versions of the UniSDK being used on the client and the UniRPC server.
