| Is it necessary to install sqlserver cal licenses on the server machine. We have purchased sqlserver standard edition with three cal We have installed sqlserver standard edition on a windows 2003 server machine and are experiencing problems with connecting to the server. We experience intermittent problems when connecting to the server. The server needs to be rebooted now and again in order to connect. This problem occurs even when trying to connect from the sever machine itself. Could it be that there aren't enough connections available. |

No. There is no connection limit. What does "problems when connecting" mean? Did you get an error message? Did you check the SQL Server error log? -- David Portas |
