Default OLAP disk configuration for best throughput

Hi ,

Is there any difference for disk configuration for OLAP systems in
comparison to OLTP ,Please suggest the consideration for disk design and RAID
levels for OLAP systems to get best throughput.

use Raid 0+1
and regarding the size of your cubes, use SAS 15KRPM drives or SATA drives
(if you have a small or medium solution).

I don't see a big difference between high performance disks (SAS) and SATA
disks in our solutions.
But it's small systems (2 to 50GB).
Once the data are loaded and in the cache of the server, the disk access is
low.
