| INSTALLATION PROBLEMS cf. SQL 2005 EXPRESS ================================ 1. Can Only Download management tools with engine. If engine has already been installed can't just add Management Studio 2. Surface Area Configuration Tools discontinued. Have to set up Database access features from Management Policy but this functionality does not appear to be available in Express version. So HOW DOES ONE SET THESE PROPERTIES (eg OLE access, XP shell etc)?? -- Pierre Grenouillaise |

| I don't know about 1, but for 2: Login using SQLCMD and use sp_configure and the relevant sp_configure options (documented in Books Online). -- Tibor Karaszi, SQL Server MVP http://www.karaszi.com/sqlserver/default.asp http://sqlblog.com/blogs/tibor_karaszi "grenouillaise" news:1E8439A7-FBB9-4D4D-B0CB-2E38BB64CCBB-at-microsoft.com... > INSTALLATION PROBLEMS cf.
