This NewsGroup vs. Microsoft public Fox newsgroup

This is a discussion on This NewsGroup vs. Microsoft public Fox newsgroup within the xbase forums in Other Databases category; Hello - it seems that my ISP (Verizon) no longer subscribes to microsoft newsgroups for posting and I'm not sure if there are any free public services out there that I can use with Outlook Express or some other comparable reader for access to these groups. Otherwise I and many others may be limited as to what newsgroups we can post to. comp. newsgroups are still available to us but not microsoft. newsgroups. Any thoughts or ideas? Thanks, Mike...

You should be able to set up msnews.microsoft.com as a news sever in
outlook.

How exactly would I set this up? I'm not sure what the name of the
newsgroup would be such as news.verizon.net etc. Can I just use a group
name without a username and password and if so what would I use in the
Outlook Express newsreader?

Thanks,

Mike

As the man said, set up a new news server msnews.microsoft.com. I just
did it. Then get the names of the newsgroups by following the
OE setup menu, and subscribe to whatever you want.

If you are unable to figure this out, get some help on how to use
Outlook Express.

If that isn't enough, fond a windows support newsgroup.
